Manny Pacquiao is pushing himself to the limit in training because he is so desperate to silence Juan Manuel Marquez, according to those in his camp.

Pacquiao meets Marquez for the third time on November 12, having drawn with him once and claimed a contentious split-decision victory in the other meeting.

Marquez maintains he was the victim of a questionable decision on both occasions, and has refused to let the matter lie - hence another battle.

The Filipino is eager to secure a knockout when the pair meet for the WBO welterweight title in Las Vegas, so there can be no further debate over who is superior. "I think he just wants to kill Marquez," said Alex Ariza, Pacquiao's conditioning coach.

Meanwhile, trainer Freddie Roach is concerned Pacquiao may peak too early if he continues his flat-out approach during gym sessions. "We're way ahead of where we usually are, like 75-80% of where we should be by fight night," Roach said. "We're usually around 50% right now. I have to make sure we don't overdo it."
