WBA and IBF light-welterweight champion Amir Khan has revealed he would "love to" fight Kell Brook - but only if Brook ditches promoters Matchroom Sport.

Brook and Khan have been on a collision course for a while after beginning a Twitter feud earlier this year - and with Khan set to join Brook in the welterweight division, a 2012 clash appeared highly probable.

After Brook became the first man to stop Rafal Jackiewicz last month, promoter Eddie Hearn said he would step up efforts to get Khan in the ring. However, it now seems that Hearn is the one obstacle preventing the bout from happening.

"I think the Hearns would never put him in the ring with me," Khan told boxingscene.com. "They're using my name so people start talking about Kell Brook. He's never beaten anyone in the top ten [of the rankings] and he's been looked after his whole career.

"And also I'm at 140lbs, he's at 147lbs. But when I do move up in weight, I'm not one to say no to opponents. But if he's with the same promotional team he's got at the moment, I wouldn't fight him. Why give them the payday? If he changes his promotional team, I would love to fight him."

The Hearns - Eddie and his father Barry - demanded a rematch after their man, Paul McCloskey, was the victim of a controversial stoppage against Khan in April. The bout was curtailed due to a cut of questionable severity, but Khan said he saw no point in another meeting.

Brook and Khan are both set to return to action in December: Brook against an unnamed opponent on the undercard of Carl Froch's fight with Andre Ward, and Khan against Lamont Peterson in what is expected to be his final fight at light-welterweight.
