British welterweight Kell Brook will make his US debut when he takes on Puerto Rican Luis Galarza in Atlantic City next month.

Brook, who is unbeaten in 25 fights as a professional, will take another step towards a world title fight when he steps into the ring with Galarza on the undercard to Carl Froch's Super Six showdown with Andre Ward on December 17.

His promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed that Brook would fight Galarza (17-2), who beat Paul Delgado, a former world title challenger, in his last fight. Hearn, also revealed he was close to securing a title fight for Brook in March.

"He's a tough kid, but it's an opportunity for Kell to go out and get American exposure and just have that final tune-up before the world title fight in March," Hearn told Sky Sports News.

"When you see a superstar like Kell, you want to take him over there, expose him to the US audience. His world title fight in March could well be in America, so for me it's about becoming familiar with the surroundings, [getting used to] the time difference, being comfortable in big arenas, and really tuning him up for this world title shot because we believe we are ready."
