Team GB stars tell Khan to cool Mayweather plans

Amir Khan should not attempt to fight Floyd Mayweather Jnr for at least a couple of years, according to British Olympic hopefuls Andrew Selby and Luke Campbell.
Khan is expected to have one more fight at light-welterweight - against Lamont Peterson on December 10 - before moving into the welterweight division, where he will pursue a clash against WBC champion Mayweather.
Golden Boy Promotions supremo Oscar de la Hoya claims that Khan can overtake Mayweather as the planet's pound for pound king, saying: "We know Mayweather is on top at the moment but Amir is right on his back. With time he can catch him."
However, Campbell and Selby, who will attempt to win gold in the bantamweight and flyweight divisions respectively at London 2012, are not so sure.
Selby told ESPN: "No, I don't think [he'll beat] Mayweather … I think he's the best. I just think he's so far ahead."
Campbell added: "Maybe at the minute [Khan's not ready] - but maybe a few years down the line [he will be]."
