Amir Khan believes Lamont Peterson is afraid of being knocked out if a rematch between the pair should ever materialise.

Khan lost his WBA and IBF light-welterweight titles in a controversial split decision defeat to Peterson in Washington last month, and the Brit is desperate for the chance to avenge his defeat immediately.

With the WBA and IBF set to hold an inquiry, Khan must await results of the January hearing, but he has warned Peterson that he will has been training hard to win back his titles.

"Peterson is afraid," Khan told Ary News. "If the rematch happens, I will definitely knock him out to prove to fans that I deserved the win the first time we fought. The whole world knows I won.

"We are praying for the rematch. The judges didn't give me a fair chanceā€¦I go to the gym, one 'til six."
