'Mystery man' Ameen threatens to sue Amir Khan

Mustafa Ameen, the man at the centre of the controversy surrounding Amir Khan's defeat to Lamont Peterson, has confirmed he intends to sue the former world champion.
Khan accused Ameen of interfering with the scorecards as he lost his WBA and IBF light-welterweight titles in Washington last month.
Ameen's presence on December 10 has been the cause of much controversy, prompting a complaint from the Khan camp who questioned his interaction with the night's officials. An altered scorecard, in addition to a delay before announcing the result, all contributed to a general feeling of wrongdoing from the Khan camp.
Ameen has defended himself, and claims he only intended to point out a mathematical error on WBA supervisor Michael Welsh's scorecard. The WBA has since ordered a rematch between Khan and Peterson, but Ameen has demanded an apology from Khan and trainer Freddie Roach and has confirmed his plans to sue the Brit.
"Amir Khan is going to have to apologise because I am already in the process of litigating this," Ameen told Sky Sports News.
"I am in discussions with some of the most successful legal firms in Britain regarding the slander, the libelous statements that were made against me by Amir Khan and other individuals in the press and I intend to fully seek a remedy in a legal court of law.
"I will give Mr Khan an opportunity [to apologise], prior to me reaching the point of no return, a full relief of filing a law suit.
"He is not alone. As a matter of fact Mr Freddie Roach has made some libelous, slanderous statements that are obvious untruths. Mr Roach needs to apologise and if he was to issue an apology to me I will accept his apology but it needs to be very very soon because I am in the process of sorting out which legal team I want to represent me."
Roach recently claimed he knew Ameen and had been involved in an altercation with him in the past.
