Khan tells Peterson to stop running

Amir Khan has turned up the heat on Lamont Peterson, accusing the American of "running scared" as he seeks to secure a rematch with the man who took his WBA and IBF light-welterweight titles in Washington last month.
Khan lost a contentious points decision, after which he took issue with referee Joe Cooper for docking him two points for pushing. In recent weeks, the focus has been on 'mystery man' Mustafa Ameen who Khan claimed had been interfering with the judges' scorecards.
The British fighter's camp have been granted their wish for a rematch by the WBA, but the IBF have so far been unmoved on the issue.
With the WBA granting a rematch, Khan's promotion company have been pressing Peterson's team for a date, but the Olympic silver medallist claims they are struggling to pin down the American.
Writing on Twitter, Khan said: "We're waiting on Peterson! Running scared won't sign on the dotted line.
"Another few days; if he doesn't sign we move on and he'll be stripped from WBA."
Khan's camp withdrew their appeal with the IBF at the 11th hour this week, suggesting they would not receive a fair hearing, and it would appear he is still smarting at the governing body. He added: "Keep the IBF, I don't want it even if they gave it me."
