Freddie Roach, trainer of Manny Pacquiao, feels Floyd Mayweather Jnr should have enough to stop Miguel Cotto when the pair meet on May 5.

Roach was in Pacquiao's corner when the Filipino outclassed Cotto in 2009, eventually securing a stoppage victory in the 12th round.

And Roach claims Cotto has never been the same fighter ever since he was beaten by Antonio Margarito during 2008 - a loss he avenged in December 2011.

For that reason, Roach - who has never been shy of taking a swipe at Mayweather - can see the the unbeaten American getting the job done inside the distance.

"The speed and the boxing ability will be a big difference," Roach said to boxingscene.com. "I think Cotto's been declining ever since Magarito beat him up so badly. He's really a bit on the downside at this point. I think Mayweather may even stop Miguel now."
