Mayweather growing tired of Khan and Pacquiao

Floyd Mayweather Jnr has dismissed the future challenge of Amir Khan to his WBC welterweight title, whilst stating his belief that Manny Pacquiao is nothing more than a $7-10 million fighter.

Mayweather has grown tired of slurs against his name when it comes to Pacquiao, and he has become frustrated with his status being used to help the reputation of others in the case of Khan.

Khan has spoken often of his plan to move to welterweight, where he plans to become the first man to defeat Mayweather. However, the Brit could not even beat Lamont Peterson in his last outing, and he is now heading for a rematch that Mayweather does not feel he deserves.

"In the past, Khan has called out my name a few times. I saw the fight, but I think Amir Khan does too much running and too much holding," Mayweather said in the Daily Telegraph.

"I feel he should have been disqualified [in that fight]. Fights are about entertainment. People fail to realise it's lights, camera, action."

As for the on-off battle with Pacquiao, the American often gets the blame for the fight failing to materialise. It was Mayweather who requested random drug testing, and it was Mayweather who reportedly would not agree to a 50-50 split on money.

The 34-year-old is sick of the criticism, which most recently arrived from Thomas Hitman Hearns. In Mayweather's eyes, he offered Pacquiao a deal worth at least $30 million more than he deserves to be paid, but promoter Bob Arum does not want his man to lose.

"My eyes, my heart, and my team, we were set on fighting Manny Pacquiao [on May 5]," Mayweather explained. "Just to let the world know it's a joke. Bob Arum don't really want him to fight. At first they said 'Floyd Mayweather is a chicken'. He was 'scared'.

"All you have to do is agree one thing: random urine and blood tests and let's make this fight happen. From what I have seen, this guy is a $7-10 million fighter, at the most.

"Now I agreed to give this guy $40 million and I never said 'leave your promoter' [as was reported]. And I was willing to give half up front, as soon as possible.

"Bob Arum said something about a guarantee but you don't have to worry I can give him a guarantee. I did everything in my power to make this fight happen and I spoke to his manager a few times, and we couldn't make the fight happen. You tell me where else Pacquiao is going to make $40 million?

"[Michael] Koncz (Pacquiao's manager) said he's making $40 to 50 million on the regular fights. That's not true. I really don't know if it's about money. You've got to realise this: Bob Arum no longer has Oscar De La Hoya, Bob Arum no longer has Floyd Mayweather, he don't have Miguel Cotto, his last one standing is Manny Pacquiao. So if Manny Pacquiao loses, it's over for him."
