Amir Khan has insisted he will not be distracted by the trash talk of his next opponent Danny Garcia and his trainer father.

Khan will meet Garcia on July 14 for the WBA and WBC light-welterweight titles. The pre-fight build-up has been marred by insults, with Angel Garcia claiming his son will "knock the f*****g s**t" out of Khan.

Khan feels the Garcia camp are looking to mind games as he feels it is their only chance of success, but he is not in any mood to take the bait.

"It's about me staying calm and I know that on July 14 it's just going to be me and Danny Garcia in that ring," Khan said.

"I think they know deep down that I'm the better fighter. I'm more skilful. They can't beat me any other way other than trying to beat me mentally.

"It doesn't work on me. I think he will try to get under my skin more next week in the build-up to the fight at the press conference and weigh-in.

"They can say what they want, it won't bother me or break me mentally. His father and him seem to be more bothered about other fights I've had than our one."
