Brook: I'll drop Khan like a bad habit

Welterweight Kell Brook feels it is only a matter of time before he "schools" Amir Khan in an all-British showdown.

Brook and Khan have been at each other for a while and, following Khan's defeat to Danny Garcia in July, a meeting between the pair seems more plausible than ever.

Brook is currently tied up in his pursuit of the IBF title, and he faces Hector Saldivia on October 20 in a final eliminator. However, if he gets his hands on the belt, Khan is likely to be towards the top of his radar given the bad blood they clearly feel towards each other.

"He's been dropped by super-featherweights. He's been dropped a few times. I'm a big kid. I'm accurate, I've got speed, I've got his number," Brook told Sky Sports.

"When we do meet he's going to get taken out. We sparred as amateurs and I schooled him. I've heard him say the same thing but if we could go back to the coaches who were there they'll tell you exactly what happened."

Before that career-stalling defeat to Garcia, Khan was being discussed as a viable opponent for Floyd Mayweather Jr next year. That contest now looks a long way off - but, if it does ever happen, Brook gives the former WBA and IBF light-welterweight champion no chance.

"Khan can't beat Mayweather," he said. "I don't know if it will happen but he can't beat him. He's got no chance."
