Manny Pacquiao has confirmed he is in discussions with 50 Cent about starting a promotional venture.

The rapper co-founded The Money Team Promotions with Floyd Mayweather Jr, a leading rival of Pacquiao's, earlier this year, and signed a handful of boxers to its roster; there were reports that the company would take on promotional duties for Mayweather's future bouts.

However, it has emerged in recent weeks that Mayweather and 50 Cent are no longer working together - amid rumours of a fall-out - with the unbeaten American opting to go down a different path.

Instead, Pacquiao and 50 Cent have begun talks, with the intention of combining their respective areas of expertise to attract top-quality boxers to their stable.

"We are talking right now but we are not finalising yet," Pacquiao told ESPN. "I will be working with him to promote fights. I am not talking about Mayweather with 50 Cent. We are discussing business."

When 50 Cent was in league with Mayweather, Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum felt his charge was more likely to face the unbeaten American.
