James DeGale's first fight under promoter Mick Hennessy will see him defend the European super-middleweight title against Hadillah Mohoumadi at Bluewater, Kent on October 13.

DeGale, an Olympic gold medallist at middleweight in 2008, had been working with Frank Warren before his switch to Hennessy, who has a television deal with Channel 5 and also promotes Tyson Fury.

DeGale will be making the second defence of the European crown he won against Piotr Wilczewski in Liverpool last October.

His most recent bout was against former world champion Cristian Sanavia, who he impressively stopped in the fourth round.

France's Mohoumadi, 32, grabbed the vacant French super-middleweight strap in June. He has two defeats in 16 fights: one against Sanavia in October 2010, and one against Nikola Sjekloca two months ago.
