Kell Brook is adamant that he will not fall into the trap of underestimating next opponent Hector Saldivia ahead of their world-title eliminator on Saturday.

Brook is expected to take care of Saldivia and land himself an IBF title shot against the winner of Randall Bailey v Devon Alexander, while Brook's camp has opened talks with Amir Khan.

However, despite being on the brink of breaking through to elite level, Brook insists he is aware his dreams could crumble if he falls to Saldivia.

"A lot of fighters can think ahead of their opponent, but my mind is so on Hector Saldivia," Brook told Sky Sports. "Get through him, and those fights [IBF title and Khan] will come. I'm focused 100% on Hector Saldivia."

Brook is expecting Argentina's Saldivia (41-2, 32 KOs) to prove a durable opponent in Sheffield. "He's very tough, keeps coming forward and chucking big shots," Brook said. "This guy wants it - the winner goes on to box for a world title. Two gladiators will be giving it their all."

Brook will be making his first appearance since a stuttering majority-decision triumph over Carson Jones during July.
