- David Price v Matt Skelton
Price v Skelton to take place on November 30
David Price's clash with Matt Skelton has had a date of November 30 confirmed as of Tuesday.
Price recently knocked out Audley Harrison in the first round to improve his heavyweight credentials, and it was well known that his next foe would be 45-year-old Skelton - the former British, Commonwealth and European champion.
A December date had been mooted for the bout, which takes place at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool, but November 30 will now stage the latest stepping stone in Price's career.
"Matt was on standby in case Audley pulled out," Price said. "He went through with his part of the deal so we'll go through with ours.
"I am aware he is 45, but he has won major championships and challenged for the world title. I have only boxed 14 times as a professional and still learning and Matt will bring something new for me."
Skelton is coming off a victory after he beat Croatian Jakov Gospic in the second round of their October 13 battle.
