Fury camp rule out Anfield clash with Price

Tyson Fury's trainer and uncle has insisted there is no chance of the heavyweight fighting David Price this year, claiming the Liverpudlian "is nowhere near the level that Tyson has reached".

Price and Fury are two of the most talked about fighters in the heavyweight division, with promoters vying to put on a huge domestic clash - with Liverpool's Anfield put forward as a possible venue.

There is bad blood between the pair and their paths may collide at some stage, but Peter Fury claims Price is not on their radar for 2013 - not even for the £1 million offer Frank Maloney has made.

"First of all Anfield is a no and £1 million means nothing to us," Peter Fury told World Boxing News. "As I have said before, we will take Price on when he's achieved where Tyson is now. We are going for titles this year and that is our focus.

"Price is nowhere near the level that Tyson has reached and as far as I am concerned, Maloney needs to stop using his own fighter for PR off Tyson's back when he knows full well the fight's not happening and in making these offers is fooling the fans with his nonsense."
