Chisora promises 'drama' on return

Dereck Chisora is confident he will get his British boxing licence back in time for a return to the ring in March after being named on the undercard for Nathan Cleverly and Ricky Burns' title fights at Wembley.

Chisora was stripped of his licence by the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBoC) for his behaviour before and after his fight with Vitali Klitschko in Munich in December 2011.

The Zimbabwe-born heavyweight slapped his opponent at the weigh-in, spat water at Vitali's brother Wladimir as the pair met in the centre of the ring prior to the fight and engaged in a brawl with fellow British boxer David Haye at the post-fight press conference.

Frank Warren, Chisora's promoter, sparked controversy by sanctioning a fight between Chisora and Haye at Upton Park, licenced by the Luxembourg Boxing Federation, and has now included the 29-year-old in the promotional material for the "Rule Britannia" show at Wembley Arena on March 16.

Chisora, who also has convictions for assaulting his girlfriend, assaulting a police officer, and possession of an offensive weapon, has been taking anger management lessons to prove to the BBBoC that he is mentally fit to fight.

"We have done a lot of work. We have done some lessons. It's all good now," Chisora said. "Last year is the past. Now is 2013 and we will move on in a good way. We are just going to continue the career now. I am feeling a million dollars.

"I want to put [the Haye] episode to bed, that's what I want to do. We will get this licence, get the fight out of the way and then we will move on to something else."

There is currently no indication as to who is being lined up to face Chisora, but Warren hinted that a rematch with Tyson Fury or a bout with David Price could be on the cards.

"That could happen," Warren said. "There are a great number of permutations with fighters from Britain. You have Haye, Fury, Price - that's probably the strongest heavyweight division you have seen in many years and Dereck is well in the mix."

An overweight Chisora slumped to a points defeat to Fury at Wembley Arena two years ago. "It's his own fault what happened last time - he got beat by the better man on the night. I know Dereck could have done much more in getting ready for that fight and that could make a difference."

Chisora remained tight-lipped about his potential opponent. "Don't worry about anything. I will bring drama," he added with a smile.
