Froch will head Stateside to face Ward

Carl Froch has admitted he would travel to America if it enables him to secure a rematch with Andre Ward.

Froch produced a tough-as-teak display to beat Mikkel Kessler last weekend, which avenged his 2010 loss to the Dane. Ward is the only other fighter to have beaten Froch and he was ringside to see the 'Cobra' outbattle Kessler.

Following the fight, Froch called out Ward and the Brit's camp have stated that the fight must happen, and in the UK.

Ward is currently sidelined with a shoulder injury, meaning there is no rush to thrash out a deal, but it would appear that Froch is prepared to bend if it will secure him a rematch.

"If the fight wasn't going to happen and someone said it could happen in Las Vegas then I'd definitely say 'yes, let's do it'," Froch told Five Live. "I know it's the United States but let's get it on.

"Las Vegas is kind of a neutral venue, believe it or not, because it is its own state of Nevada. They have got their own commissioner.

"I've always wanted to fight in Las Vegas in the glitz and glamour, and have my name up in lights. That is one thing I've not had in my career."

Froch's trainer Robert McCracken told ESPN this week that they will look for one more fight this year and that appears to be the plan.

"I can probably get a fight in before Christmas, and then in the spring or summer next year we can have a massive showdown with Ward.

"That could be the end for me because I am in the twilight years of my boxing career. Who knows? I could box on even longer than that. As long as I have got the desire I will keep going."
