Frampton calls for Quigg fight

New IBF super-bantamweight world champion Carl Frampton has targeted a showdown with WBA title-holder Scott Quigg for his next fight.
Frampton enjoyed a perfect homecoming on Saturday in front of a deafening 16,000-strong crowd in Belfast's Titanic Quarter with a resounding unanimous decision win against Kiko Martinez.
"The only man I want to fight is Scott Quigg," said Frampton after the fight.
Frampton is first set to defend his title against IBF mandatory challenger Chris Avalos next spring, however, but is prepared to take on the undefeated Quigg on his own turf.
"I'll fight him in Manchester, I'll fight him anywhere. What Eddie Hearn [Quigg's promoter] needs to remember is I'm the one with the legitimate belt," Frampton told BoxNation. "I'm the one who brings the fans."
Frampton's manager, Barry McGuigan, added: "Scott Quigg will draw 800 people in Bury. We had to build an arena to fit in all Carl Frampton's fans."
McGuigan added: "He's [Frampton] twice the fighter I was. He's going to be something really special."
Frampton, who dedicated the victory to his late grandfather, paid credit to Martinez following the bout. "Martinez was so dangerous. He's a hard puncher. I haven't seen my face yet but it feels lumpy," he said.
"I've never respected a fighter as much in my life. What a fighter and what a worthy world champion."
Woke up with a sore head this morning, must have been in a fight last night. Thank you all for your amazing support pic.twitter.com/dG5IFPuPP6
