Scott Quigg says a fight with rival world champion Carl Frampton will make more money if it his held at either Old Trafford or the Emirates Stadium.

Bury's unbeaten Quigg, 25, must first get past a fourth defence of his WBA super-bantamweight title against Belgium's Stephane Jamoye in Manchester.

Quigg's hope is that victory this weekend will lead to a unification fight with Belfast's unbeaten Frampton, who out-pointed Spain's Kiko Martinez for the IBF super-bantamweight title on Saturday.

Frampton's promoter Barry McGuigan insists a fight with Quigg will only get made on their terms but Quigg believes it should take place at one of the two big football stadiums in Manchester next year.

"Everyone knows I want the fight with Frampton," said Quigg. "I will do the job next Saturday and it's not me that doesn't want it.

"That fight should happen next, or if it can't because of mandatory defences, it should happen next year without a doubt.

"It's the biggest fight in British boxing. It doesn't matter where the fight takes place, it should take place where it makes sense to take place.

"It will make more money if it was held at one of the two football stadiums in Manchester than anywhere over there."
