Manny Pacquiao claims the delay in Floyd Mayweather agreeing to take him on means the American must be scared of how he would fare in the proposed May fight.

The Filipino has agreed terms for the bout that has been anticipated for years and set an-end-of-January deadline for negotiations to be completed.

But, while waiting for agreement from the Mayweather camp, Pacquiao has opened up to ESPN on the details he has agreed to and his badly-behaved past.

Pacquiao picks a fight with Obama

  • Manny Pacquiao has a second life as a congressman in the Philippines, but he is "not thinking about" pursuing the presidency in his homeland.
  • "I don't have that in my mind," he said. "But you know, whatever God's will is."
  • When asked if which world leader he would fight in a charity match, Pacquiao laughed and said: "Obama!"

"We're waiting for the signed contract from them," Pacquiao told ESPN.com. "Me and my promoter, we both agree to the terms and conditions. Whatever he wants, we agreed to that already. We're just waiting for the signed contract."

Asked when he could expect Mayweather's signature, Pacquiao added: "I don't know, but we have a time limit for them - until February."

Pacquiao, who says he has agreed to allow Mayweather a 60-40 share of the purse, said the American's request that Pacquiao is subject to random drug tests has "never been a problem".

He added: "You know, first, before, his reason was drug testing. But he knows that's not a problem before. I already agreed to whatever his terms and conditions. He's just making that alibi, to make a reason to avoid the fight.

"I don't know. Maybe he's scared to lose."

Pacquiao, who was talking to ESPN ahead of the release of his documentary 'Manny', opened up about his previous misdemeanors.

"I liked gambling, womanising, drinking," he said. "But when I found God and found Jesus and accepted him as my Lord and Savior, I did a 180-degree turn away from a worldly life.

"It just happened with conviction in my heart. One day, it just came to my heart: I don't like this anymore. My desire became to read the Bible, pray to the Lord and confess my sins. Only God can change us. Even my friends, they were very surprised that I turned 180 degrees away from a worldly life. I don't regret it. I'm very happy that I found the right path."
