Carl Froch has the chance to reclaim the WBC super-middleweight title when he faces Arthur Abraham in Helsinki on November 27.

Mikkel Kessler, who took Froch's belt and unbeaten record when he beat him earlier this year, relinquished the strap after picking up an eye injury.

The WBC title had been scheduled to go to the victor of the battle between WBA champ Andre Ward and Andre Dirrell - also on November 27 - but that decision has been reversed following an appeal from Abraham's management company Team Sauerland.

Chris Meyer, the general manager of Team Sauerland, said: "We welcome the WBC's decision. We are very happy for King Arthur. On November 27, he will finally be world champion again."

The Froch-Abraham clash is a semi-final in the Super Six series, which will crown an undisputed champion at 12 stone. The winner will face off against Ward or Dirrell in the final.
