Harrison fires a chilling warning to Haye

Audley Harrison has issued a chilling warning to David Haye by insisting that he "will put everything on the line" in the "war" between the two in Manchester on November 13.

While Haye has cut a nonchalant figure in the build-up to the clash for the WBA heavyweight title, Harrison has sought to frame the fight as the defining bout of his career.

The 39-year-old was expected to achieve great things when he clinched an Olympic gold medal in 2000, but his professional record has been underwhelming. After getting off to an auspicious start with a series of commanding wins, he was defeated in four of eight bouts between 2005 and 2008.

Harrison has remained unfazed by those setbacks, and believes he has fate on his side after the experiences of his last fight against Michael Sprott - he was down on all the judges' scorecards, seconds away from a defeat that would have retired him, before finding a desperation left hook that knocked out his opponent.

Now he is vowing to inflict the same punishment on Haye when the two face off in the ring. "This is not just my comeback, this is my moment," he told the Sun. "David Haye has his money and he got his belt. I'm not after the money - just the belt.

"And I'm prepared to put everything on the line to get it. This is my battle, this is my war. I'm going in there with all my weapons and he can't survive."
