Audley Harrison has claimed that next opponent David Haye was floored by sparring partner Tony Thompson during training for the WBA heavyweight title clash on November 13.

Haye drafted in the veteran southpaw Thompson, whose last high-profile bout was against Wladimir Klitschko in 2008, because of his stylistic similarities to Harrison.

"I heard David Haye's brought in Tony Thompson and they're making a big thing of it," Harrison told Sky Sports. "I want Haye to tell me and the rest of the world what Tony Thompson did to him a couple of weeks ago, because I hear Tony Thompson knocked him down in training.

"Tony Thompson is not a puncher, David Haye - I am. If Tony Thompson's putting you down, what the hell am I going to do to you? It's so beautiful. He brought in this guy trying to get publicity for him, but he's knocked him down already."

News of Thompson's success against Haye's chin has filled Harrison with renewed confidence as he bids to seize what will surely be his last chance to win a world title. "I'm not a guy that's going in there with a puncher's chance, I'm going in there believing I can win and I'm going to put everything on the line," Harrison said.

"That'll be too much for David Haye. He is vulnerable. All that work I've seen him doing in the gym - doing push-ups - you ain't going to put no muscles on your chin. I'm going to hit you on your chin, and then let's see what happens.

"I'm going to close David Haye down and he's going to be in the fight of his life. Every second, every minute, every round, I'm going to be in his face. He's going to have to break my spirit, break my heart, and he can't do that."
