Mayweather in custody on assault charge

Floyd Mayweather Jnr is in custody in a Las Vegas jail after being arrested on an assault charge.
Police Officer Jacinto Rivera confirmed that Mayweather was arrested late on Thursday at a Las Vegas casino and was being held without bail at the Clark County jail
The charge relates to an alleged altercation with a security guard in November.
A hearing is due to take place on Monday, with Mayweather Jnr remanded in custody.
Mayweather, who is unbeaten in his professional career, has been linked as a potential opponent for Amir Khan but he has fought just three times since December 2007.
