'Liar' Haye won't retire this year - Klitschko

David Haye will scrap his plans to quit boxing later this year, according to long-time rival Wladimir Klitschko.

WBA heavyweight champion Haye has repeatedly insisted that he is planning to walk away from the sport in October, when he turns 31 - but Klitschko has his doubts.

The Ukrainian has also ridiculed Haye's record in the heavyweight division after he cruised through one-sided title defences against veteran fighters John Ruiz and Audley Harrison.

"David Haye lies about everything. People should stop believing his bulls**t," Klitschko is quoted as saying by the Mirror. "He's going to retire because he says he has a great legacy? What legacy? Who has he beaten? I can't trust this guy.

"He will not retire because he's a liar, liar, liar. From the beginning to the end, he's a loser liar. That's the truth about this man. But if he does retire, he'll be a loser with no legacy in the heavyweight division at all."

Although the Haye camp appears to believe that talks over a unification match against Klitschko have collapsed, the WBO and IBF king remains adamant that the bout can proceed on July 2. Haye is not so sure, however, as he thinks Klitschko will not return to the ring so soon after his April 30 defence against Dereck Chisora.

"We found a date, July 2, to fight him, but I don't trust these guys any more and Chisora is a great warm-up fight for me," Klitschko said.

"I would fight him July 2, but I don't want to be inactive. If he wants to fight, let him fight. But I'm doing my schedule my way. Either you will join it, or not. The world isn't going to end if David Haye ducks me again. The planet keeps spinning, there are other fights."
