James DeGale will face George Groves on the undercard of Nathan Cleverly's world title clash with Jurgen Braehmer on May 21 at the O2 Arena in London.

The all-British battle between two of the hottest properties in the sport comes after months of verbal sparring between the pair, who trained out of the same gym as youngsters.

DeGale will be making the first defence of the British super-middleweight title that he won in such impressive fashion from Paul Smith in December, stopping the veteran in the ninth round.

Both DeGale and Groves carry an unbeaten record in the professional game, but Groves can boast a win over his long-time rival as an amateur.

Elsewhere, Cleverly takes his first shot at a world title against Braehmer, who holds the WBO light-heavyweight crown. The Welshman picked up the interim strap in his most recent fight against Nadjib Mohammedi, when he laboured to a points win after 12 awkward rounds.
