Odlanier Solis has torn into Vitali Klitschko as he bids to earn a rematch against the WBC heavyweight champion.

Klitschko was a first-round winner when the two met earlier this month, with Solis picking up an injury that left him unable to continue.

The Cuban suffered knee ligament damage on his way to the canvas following a clubbing right from Klitschko, leaving him facing a lengthy lay-off from the sport.

But Solis, who enjoyed a stellar amateur career that included a win over David Haye, is turning his attention towards a comeback - and Klitschko is top of his hit-list.

"I've seen how easy it is to defeat Vitali," Solis said. "If the injury had not got in the way, I would have taken him apart. He is a boxing zero, I was surprised at how weak he is.

"I hope that Vitali is man enough to give me a re-match. Let's fight again in Cologne. Those who paid a lot of money to see the first fight can get in for free.

"I don't need to earn any money from this fight, I just want your belt!"

Solis' chances of earning a rematch are remote, as Klitschko remains preoccupied with David Haye, who he is set to face at some point this year - possibly as early as June, if brother Wladimir is unable to take to the ring due to injury.
