Haye boosted by Vitali's snub to Solis

WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko remains on a collision course with David Haye after rejecting Odlanier Solis' pleas for a rematch.
Solis was unable to continue against Klitschko when he injured his knee ligaments during the first round of their title clash last month. The Cuban's knee twisted as he crumpled to the canvas, having been rocked by a clubbing overhand right from his opponent.
Although Solis now faces a long period of convalescence before he can think about re-entering the ring, he is aiming to settle the score with Klitschko, who questioned whether the injury was genuine in the aftermath of the bout.
But Klitschko has told Solis to forget about a rematch, increasing speculation that he will face Haye before the Brit retires from the sport in October.
"He should worry first about getting fit again," Klitschko said. "Solis is in the past, my career goes on."
Solis, who enjoyed a decorated career as an amateur, suffered the first loss of his professional career against Klitschko.
