Khan reeling after pay-per-view snub

Amir Khan could lose up to £1m after his WBA light-welterweight title fight with Paul McCloskey was downgraded from pay-per-view status. The April 16 clash in Manchester will now be shown free to Sky Sports subscribers.
The broadcaster took the decision after a rash of cancellations on the undercard, the latest of which saw Hasim Rahman refusing to travel to England in order to face Tyson Fury, who is still expected to appear - although no opponent has been announced.
Previously, Matthew Macklin's bout with Khoren Gevor had collapsed, leaving the card short of pulling power beneath the main event.
Reports suggest that Khan axed a press conference at the 11th hour on Thursday, having been riled by Sky's decision to pull the plug on the McCloskey fight.
Khan will make the fourth defence of his title against McCloskey, the European champion who carries an unbeaten record from his 22 pro fights to date.
