McCloskey warns Khan over Pacquiao sparring

Paul McCloskey has warned that he poses a completely different threat to Amir Khan's training partner Manny Pacquiao.

WBA light-welterweight champion Khan is fine-tuning his sharpness with the help of trainer Freddie Roach and Pacquiao ahead of his April 16 defence against McCloskey in Manchester.

But European king McCloskey, who is yet to taste defeat in his 22-fight career, insists there is no comparison between himself and Pacquiao - despite the fact they are both southpaws.

"I'm completely different to Pacquiao. Manny's an aggressive, come-forward [boxer] who punches in bunches," McCloskey told Sky Sports. "I'm a slick mover, a thinker - I think my skills can cause him a lot of problems."

Meanwhile, it has been announced that Carl Froch's fight with Glen Johnson will take place on June 4 at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. The clash is a semi-final in the Super Six competition, which will crown a unified champion at 12 stone, and the winner will move on to face Arthur Abraham or Andre Ward, who meet on May 14.
