Amir Khan has laid out plans to fight twice more this year, with a view to using the final bout as a warm-up ahead of a showdown with welterweight king Floyd Mayweather Jr in 2012.

Khan steps into the ring with Zab Judah in July but the Brit admits he is keen to move up to welterweight and is eyeing one more fight at the end of the year - to act as a tune-up for a super-fight with the unbeaten Mayweather.

"I'm hoping to get Zab Judah out of the way and look good against him, then get one more fight at the end of the year," Khan said.

Mayweather, meanwhile, is set to end a 16-month layoff when he goes up against Victor Ortiz for the WBC title in September - a fight that Khan predicts will be a procession for Mayweather.

With light-welterweight rival Timothy Bradley opting out of a unification fight, there appears little keeping Khan in the 140-lb division, and the Bolton-born pugilist is setting his sights high.

"I'd like to fight the winner of Ortiz-Mayweather, maybe next year," he said.
