Steven Finn suffered an injury scare just an hour into England's first tour match as he limped off with a thigh problem.

Finn was reported to have suffered discomfort to his right thigh inside the first hour of play and went off for a scan, the results for which are still awaited.

Finn bowled three overs in his first spell after India A chose to bat. He left the field after bowling one over in his second and did not return, with Jonathan Trott filling in for a few overs with his medium pace.

Tim Bresnan, who replaced Finn after his opening burst, had a hand in the first two wickets to fall and ended the day with 3 for 59. He ran out Murali Vijay with an under-arm direct hit as Abhinav Mukund called his opening partner for a tight single and then found extra bounce from barely short of a length to have Ajinkya Rahane caught edging a simple catch off the shoulder of the bat to gully.

Mukund went on to reach 73 before becoming the first of three wickets for Graeme Swann. Yuvraj Singh and Manoj Tiwary also made half-centuries as India A closed the day on 369 for 9.
