Team Sky rider Chris Froome has pulled out of Wednesday's time trial at the Road World Championship.
Froome, who won Olympic time trial bronze this summer, has opted to place his focus on Sunday's road race instead.
The 27-year-old has endured a gruelling season, impressing at both the Vuelta and Tour de France, and wants extra time to rest his legs.
The road race spans 261 kilometres and begins in Limburg, Netherlands. Mark Cavendish will be defending his crown.
