England's injury nightmare continued following the latest round of Guinness Premiership showdowns, with Leicester's Julian White joining fellow front-row options Phil Vickery, Andrew Sheridan and Lee Mears on the injured list after tearing his hamstring.

White picked up the injury early on in the Tigers' 18-12 loss to London Irish at the Madejski Stadium, while in further injury news for Martin Johnson Harlequins No.8 Nick Easter limped out of their victory over Worcester at Sixways.

Leicester director of rugby Richard Cockerill confirmed the bad news concerning White.

"Julian has torn his right hamstring and will not be available for international duty," he said. "Harry Ellis is having rehab on his knee and we expect him back between seven and 14 days. But I doubt very much if he'll be involved with England's early autumn games either."

Quins boss John Kingston admitted that the extent of Easter's injury is not yet known and that he will report to the England camp on Sunday to be assessed.

"It looks like he has a calf muscle injury," he said. "He is on crutches and it is impossible to say how many weeks he will be off but there is obviously a question mark as to whether he will be available for the autumn internationals. He will report to England tomorrow and their medical staff will have to assess the injury."
