Phil Mickelson produced a magical final round to win the AT&T National Pro-Am for a fourth time.

The left-hander started the final day six shots off the pace, but an eight-under 64 on Sunday allowed Mickelson to blow past the field, finishing the tournament 17-under. After reducing the deficit to two strokes after six holes, Mickelson seized control with a 40-foot par putt on the 15th before confirming the win with a birdie at 18.

Mickelson had not won on the PGA Tour since the Houston Open 10 months ago. But Mickelson believes the 40th triumph of his career could be the start of a successful 2012. "It feels amazing," Mickelson said. "Hopefully this is one of a few I will win this year because I am starting to feel pretty good."

Playing partner Tiger Woods, though, struggled to a three-over 75 to wind up nine shots behind Mickelson. The former world No. 1 had worked himself into contention throughout the week, but five final-day bogeys saw Woods fall away dramatically.

First and third round leader Charlie Wi claimed second spot on 15-under with an even-par 72 in the last round, while American Rickie Barnes finished third, two shots further back.

Ireland's Padraig Harrington took a share of seventh place as he ended the tournament with a solid 70. Greg Owen was the best of the British contingent after shooting nine-under for the week, as fellow Englishmen Brian Davis, Ian Poulter and Gary Christian were unable to make an impact.
