Rampage vows to keep fighting

Rampage Jackson intends to keep fighting in the UFC

Rampage Jackson insists he has no intentions of retiring despite being comprehensively beaten by Ryan Bader in Japan.

Jackson came in five pounds over the legal limit for his light-heavyweight battle with Bader before succumbing to defeat in the UFC 144 co-main event.

After claiming the reason for his missed weight was due to an injury picked up in training, Jackson was a shadow of his former self as he was dominated by Bader in the Octagon.

But despite talk of the former UFC light-heavyweight champion retiring, Jackson took to Twitter to reassure fans that he had unfinished business.

"Just so you guys know I'm not going to retire, I'm gonna heal up then get back on top, thanks to all my fans that are still with me...I fight for you," Jackson wrote on his Twitter page.

Jackson revealed an injury hampered his preparations for the fight, and despite his best efforts was unable to shed the necessary pounds to weigh in under 206lbs.

"I got injured in my camp and it kind of hindered me from doing a lot running," Rampage told Fuel TV. "I didn't want to miss this fight, this fight was important to me and I fought so hard to get it so I said forget it I'm just going to man up and still make the fight.

"I had to cut a lot of weight, I'm not comfortable with saying how much weight I had to cut but it's the most weight I've ever had to cut in my life."
