Rampage Jackson has announced that he intends to retire from the UFC after one last fight.

Jackson suffered back-to-back defeats for the first time in his career when he lost to Ryan Bader in Japan last month, and has now admitted he is looking to life beyond the promotion.

With Mauricio Shogun Rua eyeing a shot at the former light-heavyweight champion, Jackson says he will face anyone.

"I will fight whoever they put in front of me. I always have, but it will be my last fight in the UFC, I have other things on my mind," Jackson announced on his Twitter page on Monday.

"Why should I stay? I don't need them or anybody else negative dealing with my career," he added before clarfiying that he had no immediate plans to retire from mixed martial arts.

"I didn't say I would be done fighting, I just said I'm not fighting for the UFC, (you fight cheap). I said I have other things on my mind (big head)," he added.
