The future of The Money Team Promotions, founded by 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather Jr, has been plunged into doubt with the news the duo are no longer working together - and 50 Cent is planning a promotional alliance with Manny Pacquiao.

TMT Promotions signed a host of fighters to its stable over the summer, including Andre Dirrell, Yuriorkis Gamboa and Billy Dib. There were also suggestions the organisation could promote Mayweather's next bout.

However, Dib has confirmed that 50 Cent and Mayweather, who are usually inseparable, have split. "Mayweather was in partnership with 50 Cent but they've decided not to go ahead with that company and Floyd is going to do his own thing," Dib said.

Meanwhile, in a dramatic twist, it has emerged 50 Cent and Pacquiao are aiming to work together in future. Pacquiao and Mayweather have been at loggerheads for years, with attempts at organising a fight always collapsing into acrimony.

"50 Cent and I have been talking now for maybe the last two months," Michael Koncz, Pacquiao's advisor, told boxingscene.com. "They approached us with the idea to form a promotional company. Initially it was going to be 50 Cent, Manny and Floyd. But right now I don't think Floyd is going to be a part of it.

"I explained the idea to Manny. We already have a promotional company, MP Promotions, and we have already done three separate promotions from Top Rank [which usually promotes Pacquiao], on a small scale.

"I think with 50 Cent, with his entertainment connections and his popularity, combining that with Manny's popularity and expertise in boxing, we can bring a new flavour to boxing - we can excite some young boxers and I think we can sign some top-quality boxers. I spoke to 50 Cent and confirmed that we're going to go forward.

"Manny is coming here this weekend for other business, but we're all excited about it. With 50's influence in the music industry - we want to put a different flavour on the shows."
