Andy Murray has signed up to play the inaugural Miami Tennis Cup at the end of the season.

The world No. 3, who spends much of the off-season at his training base in Miami, will feature in the six-man exhibition event at Crandon Park between November 30 and December 2.

On a white stadium court with red lines and blue surrounds, Murray will face either John Isner or Juan Carlos Ferrero for a place in the final, where he is expected to meet the newly-retired Andy Roddick.

"We are pleased to announce the first annual Miami Tennis Cup, a premium and world class competition featuring today's most exciting top-ranked players," said Julian Wortelboer, CEO of Group NOS.

"We are honoured to have not only some of the most iconic tennis professionals competing, but some of the most legendary individuals from the world of sport - including an Olympic Gold medal winner, a US Open champion and a French Open champion."

Nicolas Almagro and Alejandro Falla complete the six-man field.
