Dettori given 'sympathetic hearing'
Frankie Dettori's punishment for his positive drugs test will be announced on Wednesday, following a "sympathetic hearing" with France Galop stewards.
The Italian gave a positive sample at Longchamp on September 16 and he was temporarily suspended by the medical commission of France Galop - after which Dettori's solicitor Christopher Stewart-Moore issued a statement saying the jockey "accepts their conclusions without reservation".
The stewards of France Galop met on Tuesday, in the presence of Dettori's legal team, and Stewart-Moore emerged to confirm they would be making no comment until the authority releases a statement on Wednesday.
"We'll be making a statement tomorrow out of respect for France Galop. We had a very sympathetic hearing. Frankie wasn't in the hearing, he did his talking last time. We won't be coming back," Stewart-Moore said.
