GSP fiercely rejects Diaz claim that he uses steroids

Georges St-Pierre, who has never failed a drug test in his illustrious career, insisted "I've never cheated in my life" after Nick Diaz accused the UFC welterweight champion of using steroids on Thursday.

The UFC 158 pre-fight press conference had a strong focus on the use of performance-enhancing substances, as president Dana White steps up his war on the use of Testosterone Replacement Therapy, which - it is claimed - is being misused by certain individuals in the sport.

Also a concern is the use of marijuana, something that led to the recent cut of Matt Riddle and suspension of Diaz, the latter of whom has twice tested positive.

However, when Diaz was asked about the topic after the press conference on Thursday, he turned the focus on St-Pierre, claiming the champion would cheat his way out of a steroids test.

"I believe that he is on plenty of steroids and I don't think they test around here either," Diaz said to Sportsnet Radio on Thursday. "I doubt I'll be tested as well.

"I don't care what they're saying or marketing to the media. I don't think either of us are going to be tested. And if so, he's probably got a bottle of piss in his pocket. I doubt they're standing over him and making sure he's not on steroids."

St-Pierre vigorously denied the accusation, saying: "I'm not on steroids. I've never cheated in my life." The champ later said he hoped both men would be tested.

White was also quizzed on the issue, saying: "He's never been busted for anything. The guy's fought a million times in title fights and mostly guys in title fights are the ones that get tested. He's never tested positive for anything even close."
