Carlos Condit: I'm going to beat the f*** out of Hendricks

Carlos Condit is in the mood for a tear-up in the UFC 158 co-main event, telling Johny Hendricks "let's do this sh*t".

Condit is making his first appearance since he last visited Montreal, which ended in a unanimous decision defeat to Georges St-Pierre in a welterweight championship collision.

Now the Natural Born Killer must reload and attempt to fire his way back to the top, and he meets a man in Hendricks who has won his last five. Is there anything new about the returning Condit? Well, seemingly he is rather more up for a scrap.

"Am I concerned or wary of [Hendricks'] ability? Absolutely. Am I worried? No way," Condit said. "I'm going in there to try to beat the f*** out of him.

"If he wants to brawl, you brawl with him. If he wants to box, you box with him. It's a fight, I'm gonna try and kick his ass and he's gonna try and kick my ass.

"Bring it. Let's do this sh*t."

Hendricks is arguably the biggest puncher in the 170lb division, wiping out Martin Kampmann and Jon Fitch in recent outings. That does not scare Condit, though, who boasts a seven-inch reach advantage and has more variety to his arsenal.

"Will I strike with Johny? Yeah I'll strike with Johny. His striking is down to his wrestling. He's able to close the distance very quickly. He either puts you down with his hands or tries to slam you down hard.

"We're the classic matchup of the tall lanky guy against the short stocky guy. If he can't close that distance, he'll be airballing it."
