Southampton duo Jay Rodriguez and Adam Lallana have been named in the England squad for the friendly games against Chile and Germany.

The pair have been instrumental in the Saints fine start to the Premier League season which has seen them defeated once in their opening ten fixtures. They will join Rickie Lambert in Roy Hodgson's squad.

Joe Hart is named in the 23-man squad despite losing his place at Manchester City while Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is included despite carrying a knock.

Liverpool and Everton midfielders Jordan Henderson and Ross Barkley have also been included as recognition of their fine club form. Arsenal's Kieran Gibbs is another notable inclusion in the 28-man party.

Meanwhile, West Bromwich Albion youngster Saido Berahino, heavily tipped last week to receive a call-up, misses out.

England face Chile at Wembley on November 15 before hosting Germany four days later at the same venue.
