Sebastian Vettel says Red Bull has only been focused on itself this week and does not really care what its rivals have been up to.

Vettel completed 198 laps in his two days at the wheel of the RB9 this week in Jerez and came away with a positive feeling about the new car.

"I'm pretty happy," he said. "The car didn't have any problems in terms of reliability, so I'm very, very happy. We could do a lot of laps every day and about the performance we cannot really say anything. We don't know what the other people are doing and at this stage we do not really care that much."

He said a clearer understanding of the order would emerge at the next two tests in Barcelona.

"Other people will run more and probably start playing around," he said. "If you keep your eyes open you might understand a little bit more about the others, but for us at this stage it is all about ourselves to understand our car and work on reliability and try to cover as many laps as possible. Surely in the next two tests we will learn a little bit more about ourselves but also about the others. But then again, Australia is a very different track with different conditions and I reckon in Barcelona it's going to be a little bit cooler than here and cooler than in Australia so it might be difficult to give a final heads up before the start of the season."
