Renault says it is close to finalising deals to ensure it supplies four teams with engines in 2014.

The engine manufacturer is set to continue its successful partnership with three-time constructors' champions Red Bull, while it also announced over the Monaco Grand Prix weekend that it would be supplying sister team Toro Rosso from next year. This year it has also been providing engines to Lotus, Williams and Caterham, though Williams also confirmed in Monaco that it would switch to Mercedes next season.

However, Renault Sport F1 director Jean-Michel Jalinier said the existing deals with Lotus and Caterham are set to be continued, with agreements almost in place.

"We very likely will end up with four teams," Jalinier is quoted by Reuters. "The discussions with Lotus and Caterham have progressed. It's almost done with them, so there's a high probability that we end up with four (teams) in 2014."
