Race of Champions cancelled

This month's Race of Champions in Bangkok has been called off due to ongoing political unrest in Thailand.
The event, which had Michael Schumacher and David Coulthard on its list of high-profile entrants, was due to take place in Bangkok's Rajamangala Stadium on December 14-15. However, after anti-government protests intensified on the streets of the city over the weekend the Sports Authority of Thailand called the event off.
"Our thoughts are with the Thai people during this difficult period and we wish that a peaceful solution will soon be found," read a statement on the ROC's website. "The Race Of Champions has been held all over the world for 25 consecutive years and we are currently looking at options of repeating the success of last year's event in Bangkok on another date."
Four people have died in the protests after a fresh wave of clashes broke out on Monday as protestors attempted to storm the prime minister's offices.
