'Amazing' Vettel deserves success - Massa
Felipe Massa says what Sebastian Vettel is achieving in Formula One is "amazing" and that he deserves to win more world championships.
Vettel wrapped up his fourth world title in succession with an extraordinary run of nine straight grand prix victories at the end of 2013. While Red Bull had the fastest car last season, Massa told Total Race that there should be no doubting how good Vettel is.
"It was down to his talent, no doubt," Massa said. "He is an excellent driver, who deserves every success that he is getting. Many people say that he wins because he has the best car. He really had it, but the work he did was amazing and if he continues to have a competitive car, he can win more."
And Massa also said that even if Vettel doesn't break Michael Schumacher's record of seven world championships, somebody else will in the not-too-distant future.
"Drivers start earlier today in Formula One. You can not compare anyone today with [Emerson] Fittipaldi, [Jackie] Stewart nor with Schumacher, who also arrived in F1 older than Vettel. Nowadays it increases the possibility of younger drivers winning more titles than in the past. "
