ESPN rounds up the best radio soundbites from the 2014 season
"Do something! I have no power, less IC than normal and no 'K'! No 'K'!.....That's ridiculous guys!"
Sebastian Vettel was not a man used to losing at the start of 2014 after signing off last season with nine straight wins. He received a reality check during the opening laps in Melbourne.
"Ok Lewis, it's hammer time."
Race engineer Peter Bonnington's battle cry to Lewis Hamilton to prompt a charge from the Brit, which gained something of a cult status during his championship-winning season.
"Ok Sebastian, let Ricciardo through. Let Daniel through please."
"Which tyre is he on?"
"Primes, but he stopped later than you."
"Tough luck"
Vettel baulks at Red Bull's request to let Daniel Ricciardo through in China. The four-time world champion soon changed his tune when told his team-mate was on a different strategy.
"Why isn't he letting me through!?"
An angry Nico Rosberg asks Mercedes why he can still see Hamilton in front of him despite the team asking the Brit not to put up a fight in Hungary.
"That's how it's done ladies."
Daniel Ricciardo in good form on the radio after dispatching Hamilton and Fernando Alonso on route to his second victory of the season in Budapest.
"Nico just hit me! Nico hit me."
Perhaps the pivotal moment in the season. Rosberg's clumsy attempt to pass Hamilton - he later admitted he kept his nose in "to prove a point" - forced the Brit out of the race. Rosberg recovered to finish second but was booed on the podium as the momentum swung decisively to Hamilton.
"I need to stop ... I need a drink, I'm dying here!"
Dehydration can be a painful experience, as Daniil Kvyat found out in Singapore after a dysfunctional water bottle left him fearing for his own mortality.
"Ay ay ay ay! Why do I start in qualifying with low battery? How is this possible? How?"
Alonso fumes at Ferrari in Brazil after starting a Q1 run without a fully-charged battery.
"Who is this f***ing guy!?"
"He's the new boy. A lot to learn."
"A lot, a lot to learn!"
And Alonso's mood was little better at the finale in Abu Dhabi, with Caterham rookie Will Stevens' driving receiving a frank assessment from the two-time world champion.
"That was a f***ing good move!"
Jean-Eric Vergne sings his own praises after dispatching former Toro Rosso team-mate Ricciardo in Abu Dhabi.
"Woohoo … World champion! Oh my God, I don't believe it!"
That winning feeling. Hamilton lets the emotions pour out after claiming his second world championship with victory number 11 in Abu Dhabi.
