Mansell 'fine' after Le Mans crash

Nigel Mansell escaped serious injury following a high-speed crash at the Le Mans 24 Hours on Saturday.
Hopes were high that the 1992 Formula One world champion would make a bold show in the Ginetta-Zytek car. However, he appeared to suffer a puncture just 17 minutes into the race and was thrown into barriers on both sides of the track.
Mansell was helped from the car into an ambulance and taken to the circuit's medical centre. An update on the race's official website revealed that Mansell was "fine" after receiving "a bump on the head".
"He's good but we still don't know what he has exactly," Jeff Carter, spokesman for the Beechdean Mansell Motorsport stable, told AFP. "His wife and sons have gone to see him in the medical centre, we're waiting for him to return to the pit."
